In November 2021 Joseph accepted a teaching position at Siena Jazz University in Siena, Italy. He is teaching Composition Analysis, Interplay, Trombone, Funk, Front person and band leading techinque, He works with the Master's Program under the direction of Greg Burk and University Director Franco Caroni. This Jazz School is unique it offers not only study and training in Standard Jazz, Be Bop but also includes in the curriculum modern composers and idioms such as Funk and Popular music.
